Mr. Goldstein has volunteered his time in many areas supporting children in crisis.
He currently sits as a member of the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, State Advisory Committee on Sexual Assault.
He served as a commissioner for the Napa County Juvenile Delinquency and Prevention Commission for six years.
He is an advisory board member (equivalent to Board of Directors) of the California Association of Counsel for Children, the California Chapter of the National Association of Counsel for Children.
He is an advisory board member for Communities Against Violence Network (CAVNET.ORG), a resource for people in need of direction with domestic violence cases.
He is an advisory board member for the Leadership Council on Child Abuse and Interpersonal Violence.
He is on the editorial review board of the Journal of Child Custody (http://haworthpress.com/store/product.asp?sku=J190) and Journal of Child Sexual Abuse (http://haworthpress.com/store/product.asp?sku=J070), published by Haworth Press.
He annually volunteers his time and participates in the Monterey County Mock Trial competition, working with high school students learning about the court system.
He previously was president of the Northern California Juvenile Officers Association, an organization of professionals involved in juvenile justice in California, and for many years was the editor of its newsletter.
